PERMANENT JEWELRY FAQ
What is permanent jewelry exactly?
Permanent jewelry is a claspless jewelry that is welded by a quick + painless spark. "Permanent" may be in the name but you can always take it off whenever you want with a pair of scissors or jewelry cutters. (Or I can help you with it too) Added bonus, save your chain and it can be welded again at a later time!
Does it hurt?
No way! Getting a piece of permanent jewelry is a fun and completely safe experience. There is no pain or risk involved. Using my micro welder, I weld your chain quickly and safely.
What metals/finishes do you offer?
All chains are 14k yellow gold filled or.925 sterling silver.
What do you offer to get permanently linked?
Currently we offer bracelets, anklets, and necklaces.
What if it breaks or stretches or I need a repair?
Your jewelry is perfectly fitted to your body so it should not break but accidents do happen. In the case that your jewelry does get snagged, stretch, or break; I will do my best to repair it for you.
Please save your chain and contact me for a re-welding appointment. Your first re-attachment is free. After that, there will have a re-welding fee.
If your chain is not in its original condition or missing a new chain one will need to be purchased.
LUKAS + LEXX is not liable for lost chains.
Who shouldn't get permanent jewelry?
People with pacemakers should not get permanent jewelry because of the welding process.
Anyone with allergies to sterling silver, gold filled, and solid gold should not get permanent jewelry.
If you’re unsure if you’re able to be around the machine, please consult with your doctor BEFORE scheduling an appointment.
What if I have an upcoming MRI, surgery or xray coming up?
I would advise waiting until after your medical procedure to get a piece of jewelry.
Always consult your doctor first if you have a procedure scheduled.
But if you don't want to wait, carefully snip a link with any pair of scissors, save the chain, and contact me to get re-welded after your procedure.
What about traveling and going through TSA?
TSA does not ask you to remove your fine jewelry so travel away to your hearts content while sporting your beautiful permanent jewelry!
